Photographs from Leslie Canyon Road

Leslie Canyon Road runs north out of Douglas, AZ to Rucker Canyon Road, which take you out to Elfrida, AZ. Last Saturday Mike and I took a photo-op drive through Leslie Canyon. In the afternoon we joyfully experienced monsoon rains, temp around 70 and a gentle breeze. I basically hung my head out my window to feel it on my cheeks. Anyway, here are some photos from last Saturday. All were made with my little Canon Power Shot A470 point-and-shoot. I played with some of the images in Photoshop to give them a cross processing look. Towards the end of my editing I just did auto levels and nothing more. I'll make note with each photo.

Well, around here I just decided to finish up and post photos, so the rest were just done with auto levels.

  1. These are really fun, Liz. And a reminder that it's not the camera, but the human being pressing the shutter, that makes for a good (or great) photo.

Monsoon season is just wonderful, isn't it? Two of my favorites here are about halfway down - the very localized downpour of rain, and the one two below it, with the dark sky to the left. I also like the cross-processed effects.

    1. Thanks, Sonya. Monsoon is great! So nice to have moisture/water. Makes me feel like a different person. I guess I should have named or numbered the photos. Would be easier to id your favorites:)

  2. I like the one that is like #5. It is vertical. Looks like the clouds fill the whole landscape and may just touch the ground. :)
