Susan Tuttle's Photo Craft book Giveaway!!!

Susan Tuttle is a photographer- artist I most admire. I took an online workshop with her and am so glad I did. Her instructions are easy to follow and fun ideas that led me to exploring more ideas for my images. She was readily available to answer questions online. I also found a good rapport with other students - one happy workshop family...not that this has anything to do with the book, other that I'm sure it's full of good ideas with easy to follow and complete instructions for photography and mixed media. This book is co-authored by Chrysti Hydeck. Check her site out too. I can tell you I personally will add this book to my art book collection. Here's a chance for any of us to maybe win this book!

The Altered Page - Playing Favorites

As long as I'm here, I thought I'd add one more photo of Ralph's house from the outside with "landscape". More to be posted later. Ralph and other South Bisbee homes and scapes. In the meantime, I'm working on an altered book for Nov. 3 Art Auction sponsored by the Friends of the Copper Queen Library, a fundraiser to benefit the library.

A Visit with Ralph in South Bisbee

These photographs were made Oct. 6, 2012. A visit with Ralph in his South Bisbee Home. Freeport-MacMoRan Mining Company has reclaimed the land. Demolition is underway. All residents must be relocated by June 3, 2013. Ralph's home of 20 years must be relocated or demolished.

Red Shoes

I did this piece last week for our Sunday D&D group. Assignment: Feet. I handheld the camera and made a photo of my feet, printed on watercolor paper and mounted on a birch panel. Then worked in wax, oil sticks and pastels. I'm working on another one (feet) and two hands pieces for this week's assignment (hands). These may be put on hold though as I'm working on an altered book for the Altered Book Art Auction to Benefit the Copper Queen Library that takes place on Nov. 3. Also have been doing art postcards for D&D that we have mailed to each other. We'll be showing those at the Silver King Hotel on Nov. 4. Busy, busy!

Hmmm, I have a Flickr account that I've signed up for when I took a photo workshop. Too many places to post! I need to figure out how to consolidate, so this is my first try.
